I need a bridge over beaver washout. 10-12’ long, water is 3 feet deep. It needs to hold weight of my pickup. any ideas
How would any of you handyman types build it

call SCE&G and see if you can get a few of their throw away light poles, Westvaco has quite a few bridges throughout their properties made with them.
I’m not an engineer or even a construction dude so for plans look elsewhere… lol
'bout time

that wont help much in 3 ft of water.

Shoot me a PM if you’re interested in utility poles
Pioneer 197SF
4-5 Utility poles over the area with 4X6 decking over the top lagged into the poles. Posts down to the ground at the 1/3 points brace each way. Should last you for the next 50-60 years.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

We recebtky took a 2wd Tacoma, lifted 6" on 31" bfgs through a trail to go duck hunting. The trail was flooded in a spot the water was waste deep on me(6'1") and we drove right through it, in Drive. Twice. It is not a practical solution. So i wasn't seriously suggesting it. But anyways hope the folly river fishing has been good to you recently, Ive kinda struggled there since Christmas

How about putting a culvert and backfilling?
G. perry pickering
yep yak that’s why i said," wont help that much." you might make it thru but i would not want to drive my truck through that much water more than a few times. I used to mud ride in my old 84 chevy all the time when i was younger and have been through some deep stuff. Just not good for the truck, keep doing it anf the “hole” will get deeper and deeper and cause problems. H20 can get into engine, exhaust, ect since a body lift is just that. it lifts only the body.

if you build a bridge with poles in the water, the beavers will just dam against the legs, you need one built that spans without supports.
Depending on the supporting banks 4 - 12x12x16’.60 treated timbers with 3x .60 treated decking
nailed down with galvanized 60d spikes and you’re good to go.
I never got a pm from you partnership, give me a call at 843-697-9653.
