Broke a water jacket bolt off in the head. Tried to drill and back it out with no luck. Can anyone help? I want to put the heads back on this weekend. I’m in West Ashley off 61 by Bees Ferry

Try using a small diameter center punch to GENTLY TAP on the broken easy out if it can be reached. A lot of times they will pop loose and come out. Don’t tap with a heavy hammer, be easy and take your time.
If you have access to a MIG welder, you might try to weld a nut of the appropriate size to the broken bolt, then back it out. Center the nut on the bolt and weld on the inside of the nut.

Can’t tap it out, and don’t have access to a mig welder. My have to order a new one Monday.

A picture of the damage would help.
If you have room, try a carbide “burr” in a high speed dremel tool or die grinder. Chew away some of the bolt from the easy-out and try to grab the easy out with a small set of vise grips.
Assuming all else failed and I use all of them from time to time. Use a spray lube like Kroil or other penatrant and let sit overnight if you have time. easyouts are hardened tool steel and you’ll have to grind them out or use a carbide Drill,endmill or deburr to get it out then drill the bolt out to the inside diameter of the thread .Drill alignment is very important as it is a water jacket so try to stay centered on the bolt.
Go down to your local hardware store and buy the correct size tap( if you don’t already have one) and gently retap backing out often and blowing with air to remove the chips.
