Thanks Bolbie, Toppy Blu, poly ball, or whatever troll you claim to be.

Nice swamp donkey! I guess him to be 4.5 YO - I hope your herd has lots of his young’uns!
Thanks Cracker. The “Know-it-all” thinks he knows something, but as usual, he is wrong. He can’t resist trying to throw something back at someone while not having a clue about the situation.

The one I named “Brow Tines” is 5 years old according to my buddy. My buddy has a deer operation and invites me sometimes to shoot one. He showed me a video of that deer before I went in the stand that evening. My buddy scores them, ages them, and all that jazz. So, I think you are right or real close. The second big one was 300 yards behind my house on my other friends land. I put out some corn and killed the deer on the first hunt. No piles of money involved in expensive food plots as ole poly ball wants to try to make it out to be. The same with the tall rack buck expect I planted some iron clay peas and put out corn on my land.
There is a MASSIVE cutover leaving only a 200 yard wide strip of woods between my place and the cutover this year. It was just finished being cut last week, so I’m expecting a lot of deer to be funneled in to me this year.

some say that the bucks get their antler genetics from the does - I don’t know - but you must be doing something right to score a buck like that. I’m the same way when a big buck comes out. I don’t allow myself to get excited until AFTER the shot. Once I shot a really good one from a ladder stand . Everything was fine inside me until I saw him fall DRT. Then the adrenalin kicked in and I lost my presence of mind and stood up on the top rung of the ladder. Fell forward and hit the ground hard 5’ below. There’s nothing like hunting white tail deer!
Yes Sir…unless a big one walks out right on top of me. That gets my buck fever going instantly. I suppose I’m always worried about the wind shifting in that type of situation.

quote:How am I wrong? That post I copied was from the food plot thread. The op asked about glyphosate, I gave an honest, on target response. The purpose of glyphosate is not to make the plot look "purdy", some folks like me like to feed the deer 365 days/year on beneficial food other than corn. Glyphosate makes that job easier , less expensive , and less time consuming for my management practices. Again, to each his own, and no need to criticize my management practices. QDMA has a convenient cheat sheet available for food plot herbicides.

You are wrong because you intentionally drug that over to this thread for the sake of stirring something up. Go away Bolbie (poly ball, toppy blu, TROLL). Peddle your pollution elsewhere.
