Brown Dog 7/01

Got to fish with my good buddy and his new to him 23’ Mako Cuddy. Cheetah and Chongo rounded out the crew. Rolled out about 6:00 am looking for a good king bite and maybe a shallow dolphin. One cast off of Morris Island and the livewell was full. Put lines short of the sixty and trolled about two miles south of the 60. Water was real dark blue, almost black. No strikes untill after 12:30. Trolled back around the sixty and caught two nice kings. First one was crushed by a big shark and we got half of him back to the boat. The other was probably high twenties in weight. Caught 2 nice spanish and lost another king at the boat. Rolled in about 3:00, smooth sailing all the way back to the dock. All fish caught on live bait with Blue Water Candy skirts. Good Time with Good Friends

And a good report…way to go!!!

How were the seas yesterday?

Where are you tossing nets at Morris?

Seas were nice. A little big on the way out, we rolled about 22 knots. As the day went on they got better and we rolled in at 28 knots. Bait was caught 1/2 way between the rocks and the lighthouse.
