I used to work with one of William Perry’s brothers. He told me that after every game, as the players walked off the field, “fans” would shake their hands and they’d find $100’s and $50’s in their hands. He said William would get to the locker room with several hundred dollars in his hand. Pretty sure other schools had “fans” engaging in such behavior and, it wasn’t just football. I worked with a guy that played basketball at Wichita State in the early 80’s. They got all kinds of “gifts”.

“Apathy is the Glove into Which Evil Slips It’s Hand”, but really, who cares?

That goes on to this day at every school in every level. Anyone thinking otherwise or that his/her favorite school isn’t doing it is naive to say the least. I knew quite a few poor football and basketball players with a stack of Benjamins in their pocket, they didn’t get it from a stipend or summer job. Hear the same thing from relatives and friends of the players at UGA, USC, UT, GT, UF, AU, etc.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

The secret is to hire quality coaches that don't plan on quitting when it gets tough.

Back out a 42-11 record from 2010-2013,and the lowly cocks are 544-550.They got lucky on talent, then quit recruiting, then were left to battle raging dumpster fire.

Love this considering USC was on probabtion twice under spurrier. Guess we are even better at cheating than you guys are.

One of the main reasons our recruiting was better an USC’s is what we pulled most of our guys out of state…guys who don’t care about the rivalry in HS. Its its been proven you can’t build a program on just SC players which it seemed the OBC spent most of his time.

And you are greatly underestimating Dabo’s salesmanship.

Dabo was backed against a wall and without playing a player with a torn acl he may have lost his job last year.

You are a top notch troll but that was weak sauce my man.

Pathetic more so than weak

There isn’t anything in this post that even resembles any truth. You say some pretty uneducated stuff, but this ranks up there near the top.

You don't think he would have been fired had he lost 6 in a row against the lowly Gamecocks? Did he not play a QB that had a torn acl in that game? Pretty sure Watson had surgery after the game which is why 3 and Out Stoudt got the start against Oklahoma in the bowl game where he had a great game.

Maybe this article can "educate" you some on the playing a player with a torn acl comment that you say is false.

I’ll make it simple…

  1. he wasn’t saying he didn’t play him
  2. no further damage could have been done to the knee
  3. his mom gave Watson permission before Watson ever approached the coaching staff
  4. how embarrassing was it after you lost to a one legged qb

Troll elsewhere…looking desperate with clients on board

I tell ya, the damage that was caused to that young man really stood out this year. I don't know how he will continue to compete? Poor fella.

There is 0% chance he we would have been fired if he lost to USC two years ago. Simple fact.

10 years in a row is going to really be hard on them.

You are probably right. That contract he signed early in 2014 pretty much guaranteed that. The buyout was ridiculous. Even Salty can see that.
