Bryson City

Im headed up to bryson city for the 4th and was hoping to get on some trout. I have fished deep creek in the past. I am going with some people who are new to flyfishing and i just want to see them hook up with a nice fish. Anybody who has fished deep creek, know that those fish are difficult to catch. I would like to take them to a stream nearby bryson city that has stocked fish in it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for the input.

I think the delayed harvest section of the Nantahala is near there. Plenty of fish and opp for a pig too

It is there within a few miles. Cherokee is also right up the road. Pay $10 a day and can keep 10 fish a day. Can use any bait. Miles of streams and a couple of stocked ponds to. Also have the Tuckasegee River about 20 miles away running thru Sylva that is stocked.

you can always have fun with the smallies in the little tennessee and other warm water rivers.

Take me fishing

i appreciate all of the input. Im thinking about trying my luck in the nantahala. is there good small mouth fishing in the section of the tuckaseegee that runs through byrson city?
