I’m going up this weekend for 3 nights with the yak hoping to see some reds, maybe catch a flounder. My experience is definetly lacking in this area, can any ya’ll point me in a good direction to try. Any of the creeks better than others within paddling distance?
thanks,
Any Luck ?
Whatcha say Norm…
First afternoon nothing but small sharks and a blue. Saturday might have landed 6 trout, 3 keepers; 2 spottails (2 breakoffs) under the dock close to campground around 18". It was a chore to keep from getting knocked around, boats continously flying by. Sunday decided I would launch at Copahee and get some real fish. I paddled the route Scot had taken me on and got zilch but sharks. I did master the art of casting my net while standing and got bunch of bait. Fished Sat. night by the wall picked up small stuff on the little bait. Had a crab trap with me and threw a few halfs out. Brought in a 3ft bonnethead.
Would have been more fun with ya’ll around
I’m ready for another trip that way (as long as it’s not 95+ degrees)…I wonder if Mud knows anything good?
