I was disappointed to find out that Buck Hall is going to be closed for renovations soon and estimates are one and a half to two years for completion. There’s not much of an alternative to access BullsBay. McClellanville has very limited public ramp parking requiring an expensive permit. Garris/Moore’s Landing is a mess, single ramp, and limited access with low tides.
Do you have a source for this info?
What about Garris Landing Public Boat Ramp, where the Bulls Island Ferry docks?
You can Google “Buck Hall Closure”.
Yes Garris is available and limited as noted above.
FFF.
I did, your post is the first hit. This is my only social media so maybe that’s why.
Down the google page all I saw was a public FB post with someone saying they saw a BLM announcement of March 1 to begin work for an estimated year
Only asking because my brother in law was hoping to book a campsite there during shrimp season and that’s kind of a huge monkey wrench
Thanks FFF!
See y’all at Garris for shrimp season, should be a full on ■■■■ show!
Enterprising folks could make some money running golf cart shuttles up the road and back like in Murrell’s
Just great…
When is the last time a public landing was built down that way (Charleston area)?
Yeah Garris sucks
Only enough room for one boat at a time
Lots of retards that can’t launch or load in a timely manner
Plenty of commercial guys selling natural resources that belong to the citizens of this state
They think they’re entitled
I guess because they can’t hold down a real job
And the worst thing about this landing is the dorks idling down the narrow channel to the ICW
Holding everyone up
Plane it off and go for god’s sake!!
They shoulda never dredged garris or put that floating dock in
If you build it
They will come
Yep, it was way cooler when we called it Moores landing, caught buckets full of crabs running drop nets off the pier in the 80’s
should be plenty of parking there this weekend
Yeah that’s what I was thinking
Low tide at midday
Might try to find some shellfish in the limited area that regular joes are allowed to go
I wonder why they changed the name Barb?
From Moores to Garris
I also wonder if I could lease a piece of property belonging to the state of South Carolina for my own personal gain
And stop it’s citizens from gathering shellfish in that area
Don’t seem right
Maybe you could shed some light
On why an individual can profit from a natural resource of the state and stop its citizens from entering these areas to gather shellfish
