I know this forum mainly discusses lake Murray but I am continually having bad experiences at Buck Hill landing at Lake Wateree. I never fish wateree only ski since its closer to me than lake murray.
Every summer when you try to put your boat in there will be 40 to 50 people swmming off the dock at this landing all day long. There is a ramp on each side and a dock in the middle. Someone is going to get hurt if something is not done about this. This is the third summer in a row this has been going on. I have mentioned it personally to each of the Kershaw County game wardens and both of them and they both pretty much blew me off. If anyone who is knows about this lake can tell me who to complain to it would be nice. Someone is going to get hurt.
My suggestion is shut down the landing and make it buck hill swimming area since launching a boat is next to impossible now and the local game wardens refuse to do anything about it.
