Buddy Boat for Nearshore Reef

Anyone heading out to Charleston Nearshore reef this weekend. Calling for rain Sunday, so looking at going Saturday if weather and waves are decent. I have a Mako 191, and never been out to reef. Would like another boat that has some experience at the reefs to go with, or know is going. Not looking for numbers just some company on my buddy and I’s first trip out. Thanks in advance.

Tight Lines!

Definitely need a schedule planner. Forgot I am taking concealed carry on Saturday. As mich as I hate it, gonna need a rain check!

I hit the Charleston 60 often. I’d be happy to buddy up sometime.

By the way, I’m assuming you have a smart phone? They give you a day planner(calendar) haha

Smartphones and periodically dumb people do not mix at times.

I will keep you in mind once I get a weekend freed up, and weather cooperates. Definitely like to go out with someone that has an idea of when to go, and when to leave.

Thanks again. Tight Lines!

I would like to throw my hat into this ring, I am looking for a buddy boat as well. Looking to do some near shore fishing when the weather gets a little warmer.

Keep me in too. I only have a 21’ bay boat and love to go catch spade’s in May & June. Always makes me feel good to have another boat near by.

I spend a good bit of time at the 60 from May-Sept.

If you guys can give me a heads up i will Tag along also, need 2 days in advance weeknds work best for me

Look at where Jesus went to pick people. He didn’t go to the colleges; he got guys off the fishing docks.

I was just about to set up a new thread and then saw this I just got a 202 scout the other day and was going to see if anyone wanted to buddy up once this weather breaks. But it looks like a lot of people have the same idea.

I would love to hit the Charleston 60. I have a 23’ Sunbird WA with a 200 ocean pro being tuned up now.

On any good weather day the 60 is loaded with boats. You don’t have to worry about being alone out there.

Hey Guys, would love to throw my hat in this ring also! My buddy and I have Maycraft 1900 and look to do some reef fishing very soon, will check with you guys soon on the buddy boat thing for sure … Pls keep us in mind as well!!

What channels are everyone on for the VHF? I have a Scout 202 Sportfish but we made it to the end of the jetties and said screw it on Saturday. We were just heading to the NSR.

There was something me serious swells popping. Lots of boats at end of southern jetty.

PM me if you want to chat

Shane

The biggest question is, when does the wind stop and the weather cooperate?!?
