after searching for a filtrated and aereated bait tank that was in my budget and coming up empty i had to go to the drawing board and make my own–pretty good design i came up with -basically a 55 plastic drum cut in half with the top cut with a flange and put inside the bottom section w a access door on top–for aereation i used a peice of 4" pvc w rubber cap on bottom stood up at back of tank thru a 4"hole and cut flush w top–put my keepalive aereator on bottom with discharge tubing running outof hole i drilled in 4"and sealed around edges–right below water level i drilled hole and screwed in a 1"male fitting thru 4" and elbowed 1" pipe to bottom of tank with a cap on it–drilled several 5/16 holes around cap and by the water pressure of the tank it naturally flows up the 1"pipe keeping the 4" full–used a peice of buffer pad cut to fit inside 4" and some pillow stuffing on top of that for filtration–whole assembly can be pulled out of tank for cleaning–works like its supposed to and really only cost about 20 bucks minus pump --if i was computer literate i would post some pics but have tried in the past with no luck:frowning_face:do yall have any suggestions on what i can use to insulate it that will take a little abuse? really dont want to deal with fiberglass blowing back on me while im crusing since it sits on deck in front of console
