Bulk Fuel Storage

question that someone may know the answer to:
With all the talk about the ethanol absorbing water, being a great solvent to loosen gunk, etc., what is being done to ensure that the fuel we’re getting to the marinas and gas stations is in fact top notch? Whenever I pass over the bridge, I wonder about what we’re getting out of those tanks at allied terminals, the hess terminal, etc. Seems like if we’re having problems just with fuel from our boat tanks that this would just be a nightmare.

I’ll capture one who is even much finer, in the northeastern west part of South Carolina

2 things -

1 - those tanks are sealed, hence air doesnt get in them, hence no air for ethanol to pull water from.
2 - the gas is continually being taken out and new fuel put back in

Plus, some have floating ceilings that drop with the level of fuel, reducing the area for condensation…

God is GOOD!! ALL the time!!</font id=“blue”>

Those tanks do have air in them. They are vented. The turnover is so great, it doesn’t sit there long.
