We have been pulling in quality amounts of nice bull reds off the rocks lately. Very strong bite. Always excited to kick this time of year off with some deep water rock fishing. It’s hard to beat not being able to sit down due to the fact that your rods are constantly going off one after the other. Catching live menhaded and rigging it on a carolina rig, using 2oz weight it general on a circle or K hook has been the ticket. About 1.5-2ft fluorocarbon will do. 5000-6000 / 7ft MH spinning tackle will do the job. Focusing on any points, bends, and drops are good starting points and are the prime spots for those big redfish to await and ambush their prey. Now is the time, get out on the water for a great day of catching on the “rocks”! Tight Lines!
