What are the chances of catching some bull reds at the jetties? Worth a trip? Any tips that could lead me to a trophy red would be greatly appreciated. Thanks yall!
17’ Flats and Bay
I have got into them this time of year out there. Carolina rig with a sliding sinker (8oz) and a 4/-5/0 circle hook with about 6"-8" of leader. Bait up with a big hunk of horse mullet. I typically cut the head off but cut a inch or two behind the pectoral fins and cut the fins off to limit bait drag in the current. I typically set up 2 hours on either side of the tide and fish the rocks (typically I like the high turning to low). Once the water starts ripping game over for me.
