Bull shark fishing.

Got this on my list for life to do. Already got me a gator but want to get me a bull shark. Need help on where to go or if there anyone out there that takes people shark fishing.

You might try googling it. There is a boat around Chton that advertises shark fishing on hull. There is also a captain in Beaufort who focuses on sharks…he caught a great white earlier in spring. Do a search here, there was a thread in maybe May, where someone was trying to go for a large shark. Several replies.

The Edisto shark tournament was won by same guy two years in row with tigers.

This fella that lives down the street from me has the big bulls dialed in:

Sharkin Charleston. When I was unemployed, I was the anchor puller for 2 years with him…we never caught any bulls. We caught everything else, no bulls. Apparently there are not a lot of bull sharks around Charleston. North and South, yes…here…not too many.

He runs a head style charter limited to 6 people. Sometimes you luck up and get the boat to your self, sometimes you get to make new friends. 2.5 hours for a reasonable price. (FWIW…we seldom did the 2.5 hour thing…it was always a lot longer - the boy loves to fish and wants you to get a good value.)

I don’t want any part of that myself:face_with_head_bandage: There aren’t a lot of Bull sharks around here, but there are some.

Seems like a few years ago there were some bull sharks hanging around the fish cleaning station at Bohicket marina.

I’m glad we don’t have a lot of bull sharks around here. Too many people play in the water to have bitey sharks around.

a good bunch of bulls are had around mcclenville (spelling) iirc they do allot of sample testing for them in that area…

would make for a slower day but id bet if you floated out a bigger bait and chummed up you would have a better shot… you could also wait till you see what tax man showed up and you could almost choose your target…

Behind shrimpboats.

All my time fishing this area, I’ve never caught a Bull Shark.

How would you specifically target one? Saw the video of the girl up near Myrtle Beach reeling in a fish off a dock and a Bull devoured it. Probably more luck trying for a big Tiger. Lot’s of those around.
