I’ve seen a few Bulls Bay 151 online for sale in FL and SC but having trouble finding details about the boat. I know they are built by Pioneer and recently found out the 151 is a discontinued model. Looks like a great little boat perfect for inshore, especially with a platform.
Does anyone have any experience with these boats? Do you know if it is a self bailing cockpit or does it require a bilge?
Any info helps. If anyone has one i’d love to check it out.
Thanks for the help.
Even with self bailing you will have a bilge There was one on Craig’s list a few weeks ago
big dog
Yeah - I just don’t want the bilge pump to be the only way to get water out. Had a boat in the past that was not self bailing and almost lost it after heavy rain.
I have one. They are not self-bailing, no scuppers.
Great little rigs, really good ride for something so small.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Sent you a PM. I don’t have a car to tow a boat so anything I get would be kept at a slip. Which is why i’d like a self bailing boat.
Anyone have any other 15ft - 16ft recommendations that’s reasonably priced? Not sure how I feel about the Scouts.
It’s almost impossible to find a boat that small that can truly self-bail. It’s a matter of physics. For it to self bail the cockpit floor has to be higher than the loaded water line. This would make the CG too high and the cockpit too shallow for safety.

Thanks for the help guys. Might have to rethink this and start looking into boats that are a tad larger.
