Headed out with two of the guys from work on Saturday. Fished incoming tide, had a hard time landing reasonable size mullet for bait. Plenty of shrimp. Got 1 silverback minnow in the bait box. Shrimp was hot bait. Lost a nice rod-bending red on a shrimp. She put up a heck of a fight and won. Caught 1 ladyfish, which fought really well! Gave us a show nearly jumping herself into the boat twice. Second fish was a 18" trout. Caught a small shark after that, then another 17" trout. Ran out of shrimp so we threw the silverback minnow on the hook. 15 seconds in the water and SLAM! 28" red!
Sent my work buddies home with some trout for dinner. Good day!
