Took a group of Boy scouts out on a kayak tour today from Sewee retreat center to Buck Hall. I was glad to see some of them brought their rods, so I grabbed mine as well. Didn’t really fish, more paddling but did manage about 6 decent trout. Most were in the 13-17" range. Trolled with old faithful (rootbeer-chart. DOA paddle tail) and was surprised at the number of fish we caught for a “Kayak Trip” not a “Fishing trip”. Tried a new Chartreuse colored jig head today, and I think the fish really liked it. Tide was incoming, water was clear, except for right up on the bank. Weather was awesome today!!!
Sounds like a good day on the water DD, so are you going to tell us what the name of the new grub is? Plus have you tried the cotton candy yet? Seems to work good in the clear water.
