Hi folks , I’m a newbe to this site and would appreciate any info on the awendaw area of bulls bay. I fish Charleston a little and MI to southport but never fished bb , mostly concerned about how shallow it is as I’ve heard. I plan on camping at Buckhall and accessing the bay from there . I fish a 18ft cc 90hp Yamaha with approx. 24" draft ANY info at all would be greatly appreciated.

Do a search of Bulls Bay. There are lots of threads that already discuss the topic. Look at Google earth and you can see deeper channels. Get a map that shows contours and depths. Good luck. I don’t get to go down there nearly as often to fish as I would like.
Since it’s your first time in BB I would advise going at mid incoming tide and staying no later than mid outgoing tide. You don’t want to be out there at low tide. I’ve had some good success around the White Banks for whiting, reds and flounder. Good luck.
Caught a lot of reds today in south BB on a popping cork w live shrimp. None at bird island and none at creek mouths - all at oyster beds. Not being too specific but I hope that gets you in some reds. I’ve fished for years and I learn things every time - many times from these threads by very kind anglers.
Many thanks for the response to my questions, they are great help and will use them soon. Didn’t want to seem nosey ,just cautious in what are new waters to me. THANKS AGAIN.
George
