Bulls Bay bag of gork...

cancelled Saturday’s trip with RickBobby and the cuz due to weather…regrouped and went with LessGovt and a buddy Sunday…boat up the ICW to Bulls…tried free casting and baiting the poles in a few different spots…caught zero shrimp…seriously I don’t think we saw a shrimp all day, not even one somebody else caught…all over Venning and Anderson Creeks…nada, zilch…I need some good karma…
on the other hand it was a beautiful day to take a boat ride…

That sucks. We put in at Buck Hall on Sunday at around 11:30 am and set up just inside of Bulls Bay. We caught maybe 7 dozen or so in a few hours of being there… It wasn’t a lot, but we were just happy to come out with anything.

Bluebird skies don’t usually fare well with daytime shrimping. I prefer overcast days and muddy water. They will stay deep if the skies are bright.

I wasn’t real close to White Banks. I could see it off in the distance, but it was my first time out there, so I was a little cautious driving through the bay. There weren’t any other boats out at the time driving that way, so I decided to set up shop just off that channel. It looks it would probably have lead me all the way there.

I think next time out I will try to take it nice and slow and get closer to White Banks. I think someone here told me the shrimping is better over near it.

I did see someone run up onto a mud flat while we were out there. I’m glad it wasn’t me!

go out at low and if you can get to an area you will be fine for at least 8 hours :sunglasses:

Haha. That’s certainly a good point! Nice catch on that other post BTW.

SeaShaker, that channel runs just to the south end of White banks and turn slightly to the south. Go at low tide and you can see where NOT to go.
