bull's bay fishing low tide

i would like to kill two birds, one stone, i need to learn bulls bay at low tide and would also like to do some fishing at same time. this sat low tide is 1247 pm, was thinking about trying to learn the bay some and do some fishing, what is fishing like our there during the day at low tide? thanks in advance, any other advice appreciatted too

Have a working depth recorder at a minimum. Learning Bull’s Bay can cost you plenty, so don’t approach it from ignorance. Get a good chart, let someone know where you are going, and have all safety equipment up to date and speed. I would stay close to the ICW for the most part learning the routes to and from the bay forwards and backwards. Everything looks different on a flood tide, and knowledge of landmarks and waypoints will come into use. I still can’t go out there without a case of the nerves…seen one too many boats upside down out there. Good luck!

Its not all that bad unless you’re terrified of pluffmud. Just follow the crab pots and stay on the outside of turns and middle of straight aways and you should have no problem. It really is a great area once you get the hang of it, i think of it as a playground:stuck_out_tongue:. And on the way out look at which telephone tower lines up with your feeder creek juuust in case a stray thunda head sneaks up on you.
