Incoming tide, 8-12 mph breeze with the tide, stained water, no jellies, no debris. A perfect blue sky day. Large shrimp on every cast once the tide started to move. (none before) We left shrimp on bait as the cooler was full. Hard to leave since we were getting 8-20 per throw. Saw lots of others pull poles early in the tide and I’m guessing they were full too. No hurricanes in sight so this could be a good year.
Anyone go today? Was loaded up and ready to go this morning, but Ventusky and other forecasts called for around 15 NE. Marginal at best, so stayed home. Just, wondering how accurate the forecast has been there? Might go Sunday, but again it looks marginal. Hour and forty minutes drive to get there.
Good thing you didn’t make the trip. I’m no shrimper but I’ve been fishing several times around Bull island in view of the shrimpers who have been doing very well. I was fishing yesterday and never saw a shrimper.
And, the forecast was accurate. 16 mph winds for most of the afternoon.
Thanks for the report! Looks like tomorrow is more of the same. Bummer
We’ve done good around the mud flats in the past. Short little run from Cross island landing.

I am fragile. Not like a flower. But like a bomb.
