The PredictWind app I use called for 15-25 mph wind but sometimes I go when I can, not when I should. Wife and I arrived at low while the tide was slack and tried but failed to tuck in close to avoid the breeze. Looking at the sonar w
e saw candles on the bottom the entire way to our spot. This is what I look for before throwing. Wife and I each threw once and we filled the bottom of the basket. This is before we tossed out bait. She doesn’t drive so we single-pole; anchor the bow then pin the stern in place once the wind or tide settle us. Good plan while wind was high and tide was slack. We baited only one side and threw with the wind. We caught nice shrimp in decent numbers 10-30, every cast. Once the wind freshened to the predicted 25 mph against the ripping tide we couldn’t stay on our bait so hit the exit. It was great to see good size and decent numbers.
