Bulls Bay Nov.2

Hit White Banks at low tide. Shrimp never came though for us. Started 2 ?/2ft of water til high. Tide never rushed hard like normal but water was turned up. nice dark water. This was only my 3rd time there ever. im alway in Char. Harbor since I live on james island. any input for my trip tomorrow would be nice. Total today half bucket… maybe

well we were suppose to go today same place but north 15 to 20 not goin to work in a jon boat. that muddy water you talked about should have worked. went on 10/28 water clear zero shrimp unless you deep holed which I saw a guy at ramp with 3/4 full same day we tried.

We found them thick in the very south end of the bay yesterday. Mostly large shrimp. set up in 3 feet of water on a muddy bottom, not the hard sand and shell bottom that is most common in the bay. Shrimp ran great through the last half of incoming tide. I think im about to ride to the bay and look at the weather but it may be a little too rough for the flats boat. If you want shrimp go to the bay and move around until you find them. If you see a shrimp jump while you are driving around the flats set up a couple test poles and see what you find. We tested alot of real-estate before we found them yesterday:smiley: Good luck!

Yeah im gona try to find a safe productive place tomorrow.
we tried south end today with not much luck. one lady was out there at the
creek mouth (anderson) she was shrimping by herself running the poles. wow
did she make handling 3ft swells, driving the boat, throwing net etc look easy.

I thaught he said lady!!

Yep. LSK posted a pic of a cooler full of red legs on Sunday.

Yea that was me out there yesterday.

Shrimp were thick when I first got there. Slowed down considerably an hour plus before low so I pulled poles and headed back Garris Landing where I participated in the mud plow.

One pole it if you go alone. I have done pretty well in the past one-poling. Less stressful and you can stop and drink beer between your casts.

Prolly give that a try also got and old net taped up to try some deep hole never done it before heard some good reports from people who have so I figured I can try that too if I’m gonna be fighting the wind

mud plow is an understatement.

Yea LSK that looks familer. I was the the small boat trying to deep hole.
The shrimp size was small for us. Aswell as quantity.

,so…when out there…ESP by oneself…anyone keep a pocket knife handy to cut line in case you catcha shark or hang in your net? …or tie your line off to the boat while throwing?

Penfishn I keep a small blade in my right pocket at all time. If shrimping it stays in my right pocket since my left hand have the castnet rope. I was out there the other day thought about time I wrote that. But didn’t want to change anything I was doing.
