Bulls Bay post hurricane report

Got to Buck Hall and saw 4 trailers in parking lot and campsite was completely empty. The water around ramp and all through intercoastal was freshwater looking like a Starbucks doubleshot. Headed out to the bay and obviously hurricane made it into chocolate shake. Never in my longest time have i saw it that muddy. Size was real good too with lots of white and red leg shrimp hanging out together. Ended up with 7/8 of a cooler. Shrimp wore me out and this was the follow up report from my reply on the other topic “Landings”. No porpoises were around. Left parking lot and saw about 8 trailers.

That’s great to see.

the lower shrimp is a Pacific tiger shrimp. They escaped from some shrimp farms years back. Shrimp can alter their color to camo themselves. During the day Eastern White shrimp are almost colorless. At night and in dark water or deep water they show darker shades. Ask anyone that dives - the color red disappears at depth. This is why you see different colors on their legs and tails.

Nice Job!

I it is a regular old white shrimp-- cotton shrimp some call them.

now that is a beautiful sight…very nice work…and the cotton gets my vote as well…
