Bulls Bay report 9/18

Coolered out for the first time in BB today. There wasn’t a boat in site for most of the time we were there. I thought that was strange. We got there right at high tide and shrimped the outgoing tide. Took the fam, and the kids had a blast. The water was pretty muddy so that’s why I’m thinking we did so well. The new Tim Wade net worked like a charm. Shrimp were medium to large with a bakers dozen of jumbos early on and got smaller as time went by. I’ll post some photos tomorrow. My hands hurt from heading so many shrimp!

Good deal. I remembered my first cooler a long time ago. I can’t wait to try my wade cast net this year too. Congrats on slaying BB.

Congrats on a cooler, especially with the family

North or south?

we got 1/2 a cooler of mixed from the north end. Not many boats when we started about 7 AM, but boats everywhere when we left the water around 11.

Nice Work!

Nice throw from the little guy! I can’t do the math but it is probably pretty close to a 6’ man throwing a 10’ net into a pancake. Well done!

Funny thing is, my 7 year old took the photo! Wife was driving the boat, and I was coaching. Handed her the iPhone and said “here, take some pictures”. I might just let them start doing all this and I’ll sit back and kick back a few cold ones…

Wow. That water looks calm. Been a long time since I’ve been there and it looked like that. Normally fighting wind and large waves. Great day on the water.

It was a little snotty when we got there, but it laid down nicely. Same as you, been a long time since it looked like that when I was there.
