We got about 1/2 to 2/3 of a cooler of mostly medium. We were on the north end of the bay. Unusual in that less water, the more shrimp and larger in size. Took us about 3 1/2 hours to get this amount. Everyone that we talked to said they caught about the same amount.
Also game wardens were at the Buck Hall checking everyone and they were on the water also.
One polled at South end of Bulls. 3 hours and just covered the bottom of cooler. Real slow an all mediums. Healthy looking clean shrimp though. Gonna be a good season.
I limited out pretty quick last night here in Beaufort. Medium to large shrimp with some real big ones mixed in too. I want to go worse than bad tonight, but I don’t have anyone to drive the boat. I can do it all by myself, but it will suck.

I did the same yesterday in St.Helena. The sun was out bright and the wind was getting up stronger and the sound got rougher as the afternoon went on. I finally had to pull out because I couldn’t get the boat to stay put anymore. All were good size, I just couldn’t hit a bait ball to save my life. The good thing about the trip was that I didn’t have to wash the boat out because the good Lord did it for me when I went through the torrential downpour in Walterboro.
Outside Belvedere Creek 0 shrimp, outside Venning Creek 0 shrimp, outside Jack Creek 0 shrimp, deep holed channel off tip of Bull Island 3 qts shrimp, 100lbs of jelly balls and enough hot jellies to have both arms, face and neck lit up! Not a great day but, dang I love being on the water.
