Saltwater Shrimping

Went out today. Started shrimping about 10:30 between Bird Island and White Sands. We were catching about 2 to 3 per throw for about 2 hours. Then they stopped. They were huge though. Biggest I have ever pull out of BB.

Started in and talked with some people around White Sands and they said they catching some. So we put out the poles and baited. Inconsistent. 25 on one pole and then nothing on the rest of the poles. Size was more mix though. Ran the poles about 4 times here then I had to go.

Weather was perfect in the morning then it got rough out there and then the wire to the bilge broke. So we had to bail some water.

Thank you for the solid report. Going Saturday with pops. Been 4 times and caught dinner for a few nights. What depth are you looking for? We have done 2feet-9feet… Thanks

The first place we were around 2 1/2 feet at low. Unusual in that the more water the less shrimp. We caught them about an 1 hour before and after the change.

2nd place we were in about 5 ft of water.
