So my question is I’ve never been to Bulls Bay and not sure how the wind affects the bay. we’re heading down tomorrow form the upstate in a 14 foot aluminum boat to do some shrimping. The forecast is calling for 10 to 15 north northeast wind does it get choppy out there in the bay?
Yes it does,especially with that wind,find a calm area or BE VERY CAREFUL in a 14 ft jonboat .
I have a 19 ft bay boat and I definitely would not go into Bulls Bay with 12+ mph northeast wind. If it was from any other direction, maybe. Northeast wind in the bay is rough.
Also conditions can change in an instant. It may get calmer or rougher. Seen it happen plenty times .
