Bulls Bay?

Haven’t seen many reports out there. Anybody getting on the spot tails up there?

Gave it a go yesterday. Dodged the rain and storms, but managed two small reds. Lost a good rod bender. Saw a lot of tailing, but couldn’t seem to get them to commit. Probably the storms.

I mostly fish up there and it’s been extremely slow the past few times. My bet is defiantly all these storms and the large amount of rain. Threw everything from finger mullet, mud minnows to artificials. Only had one red about 26". Just gotta wait for the water to get more clear

BB has no freshwater coming in. We are moving into a transitional time of year. Reds can make their move early some times.

I have only fished there in the late fall after shrimp season and have done well with the red on paddle tail grubs right up on the bank!

no freshwater into bulls bay? It has rained over 20 inches in awendaw in the last 9 days . Nearly 45 inches since the first of June, awendaw creek dumps straight into the bay.

Seen the water jet black after that much rain!

Hey Flying High, have they ever shut down oystering up there because of the fresh water?

Yes

Fished it again on Saturday. Landed a nice 27" red, 18" trout, poor mans tarpon and a small shark. The bite was hot on live shrimp. Caught that red on a minnow.
