Bulls opening weekend

White Bank Saturday incoming: over 100 boats in sight. Set up on the edge of a channel in 2ft at low. Shrimp thinned out by 1. Half a cooler. Small/med mix.

Anderson and Bull Sunday very early falling. Set poles in 6ft. Near full cooler had to pull the poles before too shallow. Mediums.

thanks phin.

i don’t shrimp that area, but nice to get actual details about tide, depth, water body, etc since it seems many folks are struggling and a lot of it is not due to experience/skill level.

being a new dad is great, but this armchair shrimping is gonna have to give soon. planning, reading, and biding my time until i show up one weeknight and ruin the days of a few hundred scrimps. look forward to your next report.

Trade the baby bottle for a thermos and get yourself out there!

I have seen a lot of crazy stuff when shrimping, but the best (sarcasm) may have been when a dude was at Crab Bank one noght in a 14 foot jonboat by himself with what looked to be about a four-year-old boy and a newborn baby strapped into a car seat. Running poles, i want to tell you! That guy wanted to go shrimping BAD.

Did he have a “Baby on Board” sign on his boat?

“Apathy is the Glove in Which Evil Slips It’s Hand”.

Phin,

I guess no 4 ft rollers means no jumbo shrimp in Bulls Bay…

Horsefly

I saw a guy like that last year gator hunting. Sounds like the boat also.
