Anybody ever put in here and fish the surrounding area?
sounds familiar, where is that location?
Out where the Poplar Grove development is going in, off of County Line road. Very quiet and nice put-in area just don’t know if there any fish?
I have been several times. It is a shame that all of those houses are going in. If you time the tide right, you can go to the left and run up the irrigation channels. Easy to get lost. If you go to the right, there is a flat down on the right. Fishing is so so. If you have a buddy and car drop a car. Go from the Bulow to the Limehouse landing. Look out for that big alligator. That thing scared the crap out of me.

There’s lots of big stripers in the Raintowles and Wallace creek areas during the cold months. The water salinity in that part of the water is not high. Lots of rain water runoff dumps a good bit of fresh water into it. We also caught decent sized reds and trout and lots of flounder during the summer months. Yes, you should look out for the gators too. There are quite a few in those waters.
I used to put in there sometimes with the jon boat before they started building Poplar Grove. It was really a beautiful spot that not too many people knew about. It’s quite a shame that all those houses have to go up there.
