Bumping and Jigging 12/6/08

I’m running a 140 Suzuki, 4 stroke on a 1993 Key West 1900 Sportsman Boat. I have been fishing this boat for about 12 years. If the conditions are right I am not afraid to venture out. I’ve done a lot of work to the boat and have the safity equipment I feel I need to fish in the right conditions. The boat is a great one man fishing machine.

I like the cooler as a leaning post seat, is that your invention.

Great job!! Did I hear you right? Was this a solo trip? There is no more satisfaction than tearing them up like that solo. Congrats!! From what I gather, that is a normal occurrance for you. You sir, are a fisherman.

OK to answer the last two questions in on post: Yes I did make the Cooler Leaning Seat. Two realy good frends of mine helped. Pete who owns “Mainley Boats” on Hilton Head has a shop that we did the work at. Bob-O who is a good friend of mine and an excellent welder and one of my Fishing Buddies helped with the bending and did all the welding.
Yes! I did fish by myself. There are times when I like to explore and try new things. I’ve had so called friends that show up late, don’t chip in for gas, have to be home by a certan time, get sea sick or I have to play captain and mate for them. I really enjoy fishing with a good crew and I also enjoy teaching newbies that wont to learn. But when I decide at 9:00 on a Friday night I wont to fish in the morning at 6:30 I don’t need to be making phone calls. v

I bet that is some of the best therapy(fishing by yourself) right there. Used to do it all the time. The most important thing I learned was to keep the safty kill switch strapped on anytime the engine was running. Learned that the hard way. :face_with_head_bandage:
