headed out at 6 to 75’ to try a little bottom fishing, really slow for us as the bsb’s all seemed to be 11 3/4".bottom was lit up with bait, all deep, 77deg surface temp! went a little deeper out to 90’ and again the bottom was lit up with schools of fish.did get to keep some winter sized bsb’s, a vermillon & a trigger (big enough for 4 montauk burgers).Had to make a dive to see what we were marking. put the bug catcher, her newley certifed husband, Oh Boy & myself in to check it out. missed the ledge as the vis was only about 15’. no current & a good thurmo at 75’. clouds of cigar minnows covered us up and huge schools of 3 lb ajs. only saw one shooter gag & a few more triggrs. there was so many cigars everywere the fish didn’t need to try our bait.Just a guess, but there was good schools of bait eveywere. We did see lots of snakes sky, & had a 15 lb phin on for a few jumps before throwing the hook & sqiud back at us. the weather was fair & we enjoyed having JWS with us today.
If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.
