loaded up with realfish01, zack and jordanonayak to try a little diving and fishing. went further north then we usually go looking for some better viz. zack had us about 60 pins so we were exicted and ready to tackle some grouper! stopped at a 90’ ledge and the ring tails and aj’s were hungry. bottom was alive and we caught a large variety of bottom dwellers. after picking at the fish we put two divers in to see what was lighting up the screen. they missed some nice lobsters and the shooter fish were ellusive, except the ars in the 12/15 lb. range which were everywere! anyone that dives knows that large ars will come rite up to you and give you a two foot broadside shot! no wonder they are extinct. viz was 15/20’ but the surface was rough and the current was picking up as the day progresed. we had to put a buoy on the divers to keep track of them. ended up with a kingfish, spanish mac,b-liners, triggers, bsb’s, grouper,ars,sheeps and lobster. wind blew all day but the temp was nice and that 33’hydro-sport with trip300s made for a slow but dry ride in on 4/5’ seas. had a great day with friends inspite of the wind.
It was great to finally make it out there with you even it it wasn’t my best day on the water. I’m taking my regulator in today for service as it still seems to be breathing very poorly. I appreciate you showing us the best way to clean a lobster. Hopefully that will come in handy soon.
You ended with ARS? I thought that was illegal until December 6.

I posted what we caught, not what we necessarly harvested! I learned the hard way, when you have that rare day when all the spent time, fuel,bait,tackle,homework and weather pay off, and you had a great day,don’t post any numbers or some wanabee will be there to put in there 2cents worth of criticism and don’t even know what they are talking about!
