How was the wind? I went out yesterday only boating a flounder and red, both around 15". Wind got a little rough.
Man it was windy!!! There were 2 ft swells easy across the river… we hit 2 creeks and boated a 9 inch catfish and drowned a lot of MM… Once we got in the creeks the wind was nil but the river itsewlf was scary at times… Had fun but don;'t want to go out in wind like that again anytime soon…

You may not want to join me on the Stono if it’s breezy then. Serious swells w/ windblown whitecaps out there last Friday evening.
It seems like the wind has been blowing every weekend since January. I know that’s a stretch, but I’ve done more paddling in slop than anything else this year.

Ive done both the Stono and Bushy in a high wind, and the stono gets uglier, its just wider and has more room to build up swells.
IF i go out in 20+ winds, I know im gonna get wet, sooner or later they come over the side, but thats the way it is in those winds.
Really need to get a furling system on my aail for these winds lately.
I don’t fear the Ocean, but it sure as hell has earned my respect!
