Bushy 6/23 AM

Took my fater in law, Bob, out this morning, he has a Caiman Boat so we went down our favorite creek… He landed 3 trout, a flounder and 2 small blues, all on Mud Minnows. The trout were 13, 12 and 9", the flounder was 13" and the blues were both about 10 inches. I landed one flounder 12" photographed and released, I hooked into Cutmullet Brothers pet redfish, man what a fight… Went for a redneck sleigh ride and he snapped my line… WHAT A RUSH! I think I would have lost my mind if I had landed him  As I was paddling by I saw him heading up creek real slow so I figured I didn’t spook him, I chucked out a dead mud minnow and let it hit bottom… twitched it twice and is was game on! Great fight… still want to get one in the boat for a picture  Great day on the water… muchas fun! Everything was caught on mud minnows either free lined or on the bottom with a small weight.

Bob in his boat

Tight lines to all of ya!

Sorry I lost track of you out there Nikon. I ended up cruising over to one of the creeks you all were headed to, but I did not see which one you went in. I ended up fishing in the mouth of them and caught a couple flounder. One decent size, one pretty small. Soundls like you all had better luck than I did.

Had more fun exploring… The tide was at about slack tide for a bit so nothing was biting but it started to come back in and it picked up. I am going to try and hit it again tomorrow morning, it looks like high tide will be around 6:50AM so it’ll be hard to catch mud minnows at the ramp so I may drop my trap back in the creek while I use plastics, low tide is around 12:45 so I may head out around 9 and fish the falling tide going back and wait on the incoming back in the creek…
