Prep to launch and The Reel Fishermen and his Brother approached and introduced themselves. What a joy chatting with Mr. Phillips (Ralph). Exchanged # and off we went. Bushy didn’t offer much with muddy waters and Goose Creek was just as bad but did manage a fat 24"er 6.5lb only to tag and release. Chatted with Ralph for a minute and glad I traveled for a bite because they weren’t doing well either. Home by 10:45.

Pitched everything and nothing worked but a MM

Very nice… Have you been putting in at Bushy? If so how long after the tide starts coming in can you make it back to the landing? I’ve been using remleys and riding up so I can leave whenever I want… Worst case if it’s to low and I’m already on the water I’ll just fish another hour or so haha.

I’m putting in at Bushy 95% of the time I’m on the water. I have a deep V but plain quickly so the low tide does not bother me. Once I hit open waters I idle and let my system flush. Those flood tides are killers. One needs to get back by mid out going and don’t get out of it until 100yrds from the landing. Years of learning the tide. I normally run past a few stuck in mud every summer. PM me cause the fellows gonna eat us alive on this chat!
