Bushy and Windy

Got up watching the tide with it being low early. Wind blowing at the house and wondering should I or should I not! Hit it around 9:00 and first cast Big Red let me know he was not having it today. Hooked up in about 10’ of water and lost him in 30’+ after a 15 min fight. thought I busted my line but he straighten the hook instead. Water very murky and fished numerous areas with no success and on the way in hit this 29.5" 15lbs Red.

This Big Boy too ran to deep pushing current. Trolling motor couldn’t keep up had to crank and chase. After minutes managed to the boat tag and release. Fish was so tired I thought it would not make it but after a few minutes of reviving and slowly swimming him he show he was ready to go. I really smelt that skunk coming on. But not today

Nice Fatrat. We were in the same creek today trying to get out of the wind. Struck out except for stingrays.

Excellent fish Fatrat! I went out to Bushy on Saturday just before low tide. Wind was vicious and nothing was happening. Tide came in faster than I expected (and I lost track of time) and I almost bottomed out but, made it back.

Keep on castin’

Nice Red Fatrat!
