Bushy Park 09/12

Fished the first couple of hours of the outgoing at a spot in Bushy Park. It was quiet for a few minute and I could see and hear the big mullet jumping around. About 20 minutes into the outgoing, front rod took of and “fish on”! Drug me all over the little creek and finally boated a nice 23" red. No sooner had I boated that fish than the back rod went off and I had a nice 15" trout. Got both rods back in the water and the front rod goes off again. Felt like a red, but as I was just getting ready for the ride “pop”. The 25lb Power Pro was snapped just above the 40lb leader. Had dinner so I quit while I was ahead, but I left them biting. A great 40 minutes on the water. I had planned to meet up with TooBusy that morning, but it was not to be. Got dumped on Friday and ruined my cell phone with all of my contacts. Got all the rods back though, so not a total loss. Just the cell and about $5.00 worth of bait and tackle. Cell phone insurance deductible… $90.00, assorted hooks, leader and eggs weights…$5.00, 1 lb of fresh shrimp…$2.50… Laughing at yourself for getting dumped… Priceless.

Congrats on a couple of nice fish.
Sorry you took a swim, but it happens to all of us sooner or later. Just run by K Mart or Walmart and grab a turtle sticker for your yak… wear it proudly.

I’m trying to get ahead of the curve and start plans for this coming Saturday. Based on the tide chart it will be either Gadsenville or the Stono to fish 2 hours either side of high tide.

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad. </font id=“size2”>

I’m phone shopping now and have looked at the gzone. How’s Verizon service in and around Charleston? It’s between Verizon and Sprint as they both offer a water resistant phone and both offer a discount for my agency.

i have no prblems with service and the phone is a tank!!! I have frozen it in a glass of water, swam with it, and it always works fine. Plus it holds i memory card of up to 2gb for photos and music.
