I fished Bushy Park, Monday, my first time fishing the coast in about 13 years. Landed 8 reds and one nice trout. Fish were way up in the creeks, which is a blast in a kayak. Everything came on a Gulp Swimming Mullet on a 1/4oz jighead.
Way to go man! Love me some Bushy! they will be stacked up in the back creeks this time of year in there!

I guess now would as good of a time as any to introduce myself, too. I live up in the Rock Hill area. My uncle used to live in Summerville, and we used to fish once or twice a year, up until his health deteriorated to the point he could no longer go out. He died earlier this month, and I decided I would take the kayak out to Bushy Park, as that’s where we used to go most often.
I fish out of a Hobie Outback, and absolutely love it. While I can’t make it to the lowcountry as often as I would like, I certainly plan to make it a more regular thing in the future. Look forward to interacting on the forum, here.
