Got to the landing and it was H-I-G-H tide… Holy smokes… The water was almost over the metal docks… The tops of the posts for the floating docks were at shoulder level to me… TONS of water… I thre the net and only managed 7 finger mullet and a few tiny shrimp… I ran up to Duncans and grabbed soem frozen shrimp and headed back… Got in the creek, dropped a mullet under a cork and there was a huge boil right behind my cork… got a little trigger happy and no hook up… put it back out in the same spot and 30 seconds later corks gone and drag is singin 23" almost an 8lb redfish… looked like a football
the water was really up so I put some bait on the bottom and managed 5 rat reds… 12-14 inches… As I was strapping the yak down the clouds broke and the sun came out… go figure
It felt good to be back out fishin…
