Bushy Park 2/21

It started out nice, not too cold and a slight breeze. I paddled out and started working the grass edge with grubs and a DOA Shrimp… nada. Got around to a non-specific  creek and started back. Worked the edge of the grass the whole way back and set up on a small flat that has always been good to me. The wind started to pick up and I got nada. I guess Cutmullets Bro has those reds REALLY trained  Worked my way back out to another non-specific area  and fished there for a bit before heading out. Got back out to the river and boated a blue cat, about 6 or 7 pounds off a mud minnow on the bottom. Felt good to catch something though. Turned her loose and paddled in as the wind really kicked up and the water got REALLY choppy. All in all not a bad day. Saw a lot of birds and it was really quiet and peaceful. I really needed today after the last couple of weeks I have had. Looking forward to warmer weather and more fishin!

I really hate to steal your thread, almost as much as I hate to brag.
But anyhow… Caught 7-8 trout, only 2 undersize, biggest 18"; 3 spottails from 14- 22"; and one real nice flounder at 21". All in roughly the same area.
I was fishing in the cold rain just after lowtide. About equal fish on minnows and grey grubs. Really awesome 2hrs.
(easy on the location specifics Ken:wink:)

Dang it!! I was there to soon. Right at high tide and about 2 hours after… I always have done better there around low… Nice feesh Bro… I guess I shouldv’e gone with ya instead of hiding inside from the rain  I would rather ANYONE post pix on my threads than to see my lame no pix excuse for fishin  I was hoping for a couple of trout today… I have had the taste for fish tacos for a while now…
