Bushy park 5-2

Not a lot in the yak, but a few on the line. Only a 16" red in the boat. Lost a few probable flounder. The day maker was a ~30" red that took me for a ride. The net wasn’t big enough to land it and when I tried I managed to break the leader off at the hook. A nice yak side release.

Fished shrimp, cut haden, and mudders. The shrimp and the mudders were the bait of choice.

Oh yeah, the gators are getting more plentiful and at least 1 very large one survived the hunt last year!

I went up that creek yesterday and seen 3 big’uns.

I went up “t” creek and saw the normal gators (two at the first bend now). The big boy was is the creek on the left heading up river. I was going to try and get out of the wind, but he didn’t want me hanging around.

Mud

I did see them first. This time of year, my head is generally on a swivel up those creeks!

The big boy is a girl and she gets real b****y a little closer to nesting season. Some morons love tossing her chicken pieces while crabbing out there.

There is nothing - absolutely nothing- half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats. Kenneth Grahame
