Bushy park 7/1 AM

WHOO HOO!!! The flounder were on today! I managed to get 5 of them in the boat. 18", 16" ( supper tonight ) 14", 14", 12", caught a couple of trout, 12" and 10" (released of course) and my father in law nailed a 17" red, several trout and a flounder or two. All were on mud minnows either carolina rigged or free lined. The biggest flounder was along the sandy bank up river from marker 89 the rest were in the creeks. The 18"er nailed the minner right under my yak as I was reeling it up. Saw a lot or reds, probably close to 30. Bunches of dem. Most of them looked to be in the slot with only about 4 or 5 looking over size. Spooked all the ones I saw and still can’t hang one to get in the yak for a photo op :wink:I realized this morning it was July 1st and I forgot to get my new license so the day started a little later but we had a great time. For a weekend the ramp was not as busy as I expected it to be. Very yak friendly today, well except the yahoo on the jet ski who had no clue where he was going or what he was doing… I am going to try and get out a couple of days this week after work. Tight lines ya’ll!
(This is the biggest flounder)

“Carpe Diem” does not mean “Fish of the Day”…
