Got off of work at 530 this morning, went home to load the boat up than headed out to the water. I went to my usual spot for reds and within 5 minutes had a red snap my line. I left my tackle box at a buddies house from the previous fishin trip and figured i would chance it. I brought 3 poles and reds broke both lines. So i figured i would check my crab trap. Got 3 small crab, perfect for bait and a flounder than decided to just cruise around and drink beer. I headed back to my spot caught a red. All in all a good day on the water.
Well, you either have an overslot red or an undersize flounder. I hope the “small” crabs you were refering to were not blue crabs either.

I was thinking the same thing overslot or undersized.

either 28+" red or 11.5-" flounder. Sounds like you know and enjoy the waters, Miami, but you may want to grab either a reg book (available darn near everywhere) or a DNR measuring sticker (which you could use AND has most min/max on it). You’ll catch more than your share of slotties for dinner!
