Bushy Park 8/28

Got in a couple hours before the sun went down. We trolled up the creek, checked my minnow trap, found three tiny shrimp inside, and kept going up the creek. There wasn’t much current or bait moving around. My buddy did manage to get one on his usual Zman trigger hook and smokey shad paddler. Finally a slot to take home for supper! We both got a few bites that pulled the paddlerz off of the front point of our trigger hooks. I’m guessing they were trout and/or ladyfish. We had some cut bait in the back rod holders under a cork and on a Carolina rig. We lost bait a few times on those but no hook ups. After dark the bite completely shut off, but that’s when the water quit moving, too.

Water temperature was 80 degrees.
