Bushy Park Fishing Club?

I would like to see a Bushy Park club for the saltwater people. I always see the bass boaters having all the fun on the freshwater side. What do some of you upper cooper river fishermen think?

very surprised no responses?

Lately I have only been fishin Bushy Park… I’d be in for it. I lik eit there. Lots of creeks and not a lot of traffic that is stupid… What I mean is the people I see in boats around bushy park seem to know where they are going and running their boats right, not acting like jackasses. Of course we’ll have to have the Bushy Park Yak Fishing Club too

I’m in. Sounds fun.

so, does this mean you guys are catching fish up there or just want to paddle around together?

I’m new to posting on this site (but not reading). I’d be in for it

I’ve fished bushy more than any other area since I moved here three years ago. I still suck at it and I drag the a$$ end of the boat to the ramp every low tide, but I love fishing the area:face_with_head_bandage:. I’m in

It’s not the bait. I always smell like this.

I’m down. Tried to stir up some interest in this a while back with no response. Good to see we have some now. We could set up a club. Hold tournaments, cookouts, etc. The guys in the East Cooper have put together a nice club, maybe they can give us some tips?

To much work involved with a club.
How about just a standing date of once a month or weekly from daylight savings untill halloween? the bass guys run every thursday from daylight savings untill labor day at cypress.
during the week actually draws more interest for 3 hrs from 5-8pm than an all day affair on the week ends. the bass guys average 50 boats every week. this is doable and was succesful in the past. largest red, trout ,and flounder winner take all for each category.

…im in for the weekly/monthly test of angling skillz…and the chance at winning some gas and beer money…i got dibbs on the piers

We would be glad to help sponsor the club and also donate some space at our shop to hold meetings and such if you guys are interested!

Count me in. Has anyone been having much luck at Bushy lately. I’ve been recovering from a 4th knee surgery and ready to hit it. I’m going friday afternoon with some out-of-towners hoping to put them on some fish. I went two weeks ago (sat). The low tide was extremely low. It was difficult getting into yellowhouse from the subs side. Nothing but mud banks. Ended up having a little fuel problem and had to cut the fishing short. Last year this time, we were killin em. Trout, reds, cats. What gives. Oh, I just remebered we would usually use menhadden and they are apparently extinct now. What location do you use for determining tides for Bushy? I go to Cooper River, then what location? I don’t seem to be holding my mouth right. Thanks.

24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence?

For tides near the Bushy launch, I generally look for Snow Point values. I googled it and came up with http://www.mobilegeographics.com:81/locations/5941.html as an example.

As for the fishing club. I may be in, and I know of a couple more possibilities, if we get passes from the spouses.
