That sucks i didn’t know back then about it. I would have liked to been in on this also, was there a bunch of people at the first meeting???

There is a fine line between fishing and standing on the bank like an idiot!!

…missed the first post or I would have been there…if it gets going again, please count me in.

As far as the conditions are concerned out there on the saltwater side, from what I can tell, the silting is getting worse by the day. The barge traffic is pretty intense and is contributing to the problem. It seems to me that the commercial interests upriver should take a little responsibility for this situation. At a minus tide, you have to totally avoid low tide or you will have a problem unless you are in a kayak. Two hours before low tide a week ago we were pulling mud through our motor the whole way out.

There are some really productive spots not far from that landing so we like to launch there most of the time. The flounder have been a little small so far this year, but the reds have been mostly over the slot limit and have been a lot of fun. The trout are showing up as well at least in small numbers. The blue crabs are always around and there is a lot of bait to be found in the creeks at low tide.

It takes one person to set it all up.First find a meeting place.then post it in the papers and on sites. That night pick a Pres, treasurer,Sect and let the 3 make all the decisions.I did that with the Stono river fishing club.I encouraged several other Clubs to get started. You need to have one strong person just start the ball rolling.

did anyone notice the date? A re-post from 3/5/08. No new posts for two and 1/2 pages when brotherskeeper posted. Is this a real attempt to re-start or a gag? I would be interested as well. Could possible partner up with Summerville club.

So…if all it takes is for someoneto set up a spot and time, with that being said, let’s get a count on people who say theywill be there and meet up! I’m in for sure!!!I fish there at least once a week .I am not very educated on the whole fishing club progress though…let’s just make a date and time!!quater pounder…are u in summerville club and inviting a new and small section of your club?if so mabey you could tell us when the next meeting is and we can start there.if not then I will post a time and date on sun…thanx!!

Funny, read that through and was like “WOW, that was quick!” LOL! Then saw the dates. BK, sent you a PM. If folks are interested, SSWA has their next meeting 7/11.

This should solidify so we can join in too! I fish bushy at least once a week, and have no buddies besides the hubby- We’re new to the area, to boating, and to saltwater. We’ve got a lil 14ft mckee, seems to do alright (as far as we know)

Even if there is no club brought together, still looking for some potential friends to back up my fish stories!! Our boat or yours, dock, wade, whatever. Down for fly fishing also- Shoot me a PM

That looks like a fish, only smaller.

I fish bushy about 2 times a week and would like to see a fishing club started up there. Give me a date, time, and a place and i will be there and would be more than happy to help out with anything needed to get this plan into action.
