Hit bushy park about 11 this morning. Went down to yellowhouse, turn around the first bend, chop the throttle to get ready to troll for a bit around te bend. Look o the left at the guy at the bend sighing. Here comes the security boat o run him off. Work our way around the big first bend, watch a cc cruise down the creek. Veer a little left of where he went, pulled a Vinman, stuck in the mud. Figure as long as we are stuck might as well flip out a minnow and grab a sandwich. That got old pretty quick, step out of the boat into calf deep water, raised the motor, back in the boat. Grab the paddle (aka the shortest push pole in the tri county area) , work our way to deeper water. We made it to the other side of the creek, start to fish, and here come a bass boat on plane. He got about as far as we did, he comes to a halt. Ease our way over o him, to see if we can help. He did what I did. Stepped out the boat, got a little more water under him, dropped the trolling motor, and away he goes. Just to qualify as a report, about that time my 11 year old girl hooks the only fish of the day, an 11 inch flounder. Get hung up in the mud for about the fourth time of the day, say the heck with it, and head to the landing. We came around the bend to the ramp, there are are two bigger boats hung up in the mud, plowing their way out. i never came off plane til I was just about to the dock. All in all, a great day to be on the water.
it is easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission
Wow. Is everyone getting hung in the mud there at the launch?
Moral judgment under girds the entire structure of laws and is necessary for the rational structure of any significant statute. The idea that our laws can stand independent of moral foundation is senseless.----- Albert Mohler.
Shenanigans, that center console may have been me, if it was a bay boat. I rolled through there and prayed as I was rolling 30 in 2.4ft of water. Not sure how, but made it.
